The San Juan Islands are truly a destination location. Our peak season starts around the middle of June and goes through Labor Day. It can be very difficult to find a place to stay during that time. Planning ahead is key. Oddly, camping at Moran State Park on Orcas can be one of the more difficult places to reserve as they are sold out well in advance of the summer season. In the summer months, it isn't at all unusual to have at least two if not three weddings per lodging facility per weekend day either. So, PLAN AHEAD. Even if you're not coming for a wedding.

The variety of places to stay is  amazing in itself. From camping to staying in a private house  at $3000.00 per week, it's a good bet that what you are looking for can be found. As long as it's not a chain hotel.
